Fun with Cats!

My boys like to help me change the sheets on the bed. I got an idea that it might be fun to snap some pix while they were under the top sheet....

 I was right.

Working with Boys

It can be difficult to do some work at home with the boys around.

They have a lot to supervise.

Spike has a new (temporary--hopefully!) nickname: grease monkey.

All the kittehs got their monthly flea treatment Sunday night. When I woke up yesterday there was nothing unusual about Willow or Xander....a bit of residual product between their shoulder blades. Spike? He looked like the picture above--a great big black spot where his product had been. How does he do it?! Best we can figure is that he managed to find some grease under some of the exercise equipment.
This morning there were two on duty for homeland security:

Remodel

We've recently remodeled our guest bathroom. It's a small space and the one room we hadn't done much to over the years. We started by stripping it down to the studs. (By "we" I mean that LoML did some of the work and then subcontractors did some of the later work...)

They put down  new wood on the floor..

We had fun at Lowe's picking out new fixtures, the flooring, etc....This is the new light over the vanity mirror.

It used to have a tub and shower, but we did away with the tub and just put a shower in...we went with tile for the flooring as well as for the shower stall...It turned out great!

Okay, I dunno what I was doing, but I realize the next picture is blurry...but you still get an idea of how pretty the floor tiles are and the cool new laundry hamper.

Spike has had a blast inspecting everything...he's particularly fond of the new shower!

 

I love everything about this bathroom...the vanity is very different from any I'd seen before...

 I told you Spike likes the shower!

Xander Photo Shoot

One of my best friends got married on Aug. 31st and I had the honor of being one of her bridesmaids. After the festivities I was trying to do a photo shoot of some of the pretty accessories...and, of course, I had help!

Why would you want pictures of stuff without me in them?

I don't think this clutch should have a chain on it...let me see if I can get that off for you.

This is Sadie, the barn cat, on top of the roof of the feed room. She's doing an excellent job keeping an eye on things.

Even if she is getting a wee bit sleepy...or is that something she sees?

So I belong to this ebay community group Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) where besides chatting online about everything from crafting to pets to general life stuff, we sometimes exchange cards and little gifts.

Earlier this year I got a Sizzix embossing machine and have been having fun making cards and experimenting with different papers, embellishments, etc.

I recently made this card for my RAK pal...but you need to understand that these things can't be done without proper supervision.

This is tiring work!
