Just One Look

Ever noticed how someone can convey a world of meaning with just one look? It's not unique to people. All manner of animals can do this too. Today let's talk about cats. My bro'-in-law & sis'-in-law are the staff (albeit woefully inadequate [sorry guys! you know it's true!]) for one cat...Diva. (I now refer you to my 10/26/11 post That's Ms. Diva to You! for introductions.) Diva can throw a look that I'm pretty sure could turn you to stone if she wanted to. It's amazing. My SIL, a fabulous wordsmith who really needs to keep working on that novel, was describing one recent incident in an email and referred to her as a "pear-shaped goddess of wrath". It cracked me up. Very descriptive! No offense to Diva (who will probably still bite me if she's allowed to read this post) but Willow's too sweet to pull off the above-referenced look.
Surveying her domain
She has, though, at times, become the pear-shaped goddess of mild annoyance when her noms are not forthcoming at the direction of her majesty:
I really must train the staff better

I must steal the phrase "the pear-shaped..." It describes my cat Twinkie perfectly. I just need to figure out the last part. There are alot of options.
