Coolpix at the Cape

Took the new camera to the Cape yesterday. Had a blast. One of my favorite beach subjects is seagulls in flight. The new "sports continuous" mode does a great job shooting bursts of pictures at high speed.



And, again, I really love black and white shooting...

Okay, so I shrunk this down and you can't really appreciate it much, but my first stitched-together panorama shot...again, with minimal instruction and no editing other than shrinking the file size for posting.

Coolpix Love

Oh. my. I'm in love! Love with my new Nikon Coolpix (L120). Obsessed over new camera for a few days and then determined this was the one for me (for now). BestBuy was having a terrific Fourth of July sale and even tho' I had to wait for them to ship it to me (free shipping too) it was well worth it. Arrived at the office this afternoon and I'm already addicted. The following were all shot within hours of me taking it out of the box...with minimal reading of the manual...very easy...very fun! The only editing of these shots was cropping to be a more manageable size to upload. That's it. Seriously! Even the black-and-white was a shooting option :D

Trouble's troubles

Here's the newest addition to my parents' household:
These were taken approximately 20 minutes after her arrival at her new digs. She's making herself quite at home.
The trouble is that Trouble, their 8 year-old boy cat is not so sure that this is what he had in mind...
I think she's hard to resist!
