The Village

So, the village where the rellies live is roughly half-way between London and Oxford. There's the house...just there, behind the "Give way" sign. :D I do love the Brits and their expressions.
Here's the front of "The Haven".

And here's a lovely cottage known as "Flint Cottage" (for obvious reasons). It's just down the way.

Back from the UK

Well, I'm back! I told you I'd be gone for a bit...we ventured across the pond again to visit rellies...so now, for the next who-knows-how-long I'll be entertaining (boring?) you with photos from our most recent UK trip. Have only a few minutes this morning (am still on UK time) to start, so will begin with a shot of the lovely countryside right next to where we stayed.
And here's a shot of the village. Quaint, yes?

It got a bit frosty by the end of our visit.

Do you ever have to put your ear right up to the computer to hear what they just said???

Incoming

One of the really cool things to me is how quickly gulls will appear when food is tossed out. These (obviously) were taken on the beach. From where I live, you can't see the water. I can go out in the backyard with nary a gull in sight and throw pieces of stale bread in the air. Then I count to see how long before gulls, raucously squalling "Mine! Mine!" will appear. (Sidebar: if you haven't seen _Finding Nemo_ you need to. It's a great movie that, among other things, perfectly captures gulls.) I think my record so far was something like 3 seconds. From zero to incoming in 3 seconds ;D
