As for me, I am trying to be mindful of the sacredness of the Christmas season...to celebrate what is important and to not get caught up in the materialistic trappings.

I agree with you that whether it is your religion or not, you can appreciate the majesty of the architecture. I went to a histiric Jewish temple here in Huntsville and I was really struck by some of the interesting differences. I hope that you and yours have a wonderful Christmas and holiday season!
I just read what you wrote about grief. Having recently lost my sister and with her birthday right at Christmas, this was a most difficult Christmas. My heart goes out to you.
