Weekend Getaway

LoML and I had a package deal for a little weekend getaway...We stayed at a very fancy place (in exchange for the high-pressure sales pitch to buy a time share...which we declined, much to our salesman's chagrin):

Riverwalk...San Antonio, TX

Had a fabulous long weekend venture to San Antonio, TX. Spent a lot of time on the riverwalk...it's a wonderful spot...
This was a great bird be-bopping along:
Saw several broods of chicks:
...and lovely moss-covered bridges:
We didn't make it up in the Tower of the Americas, but it dominated the skyline. Maybe next trip!

BBQ anyone?

I took these shots on a recent road trip. I didn't make this up folks! This is an actual place. (Leave it to the Scots to come up with this one!)



Does this make anyone hungry? (Bet my sis' is thinking about Wilbur's.) This is eastern NC folks. We're very serious about our BBQ around here. And it's not really BBQ unless it's eastern NC BBQ! Everything else is...well, it might be okay, but it's not BBQ.
