Flashback

I know I've been neglecting you...my two or three readers (and you know who you are!). Then again, most of you know why...for anyone else, I promise to catch you up on all the wackiness soon...no worries, it's mostly positive...just been extra wide-open! Anyway, while downloading some pix from the "spare" camera this morning, I came across this jewel taken in March:

Look at my little pink tongue; aren't I adorable?!

Then...and Now

Remember this shot? It was taken last September. It was a bit of struggle for the little guy to clamber to the top!
This shot? It was taken last week. What can I say? I suppose it would be a struggle for the not-so-little guy to get the scratching strip to support him if he tried to hang on the top of it!

Zoomed in to show you the pink tongue sticking out!
Further evidence of growth: he no longer fits so well inside the cube when napping.

One Year Old!

Today is Xander's birthday! At least, that's what we've decided. You know, with a rescue baby at some point you just have to declare a day to be their day :D And today is his. He's come a long way from being a tiny, sick, underweight little guy that a concerned citizen who found him didn't think would make it. He's now gone from being behind the curve....to *way* ahead of it! He now weighs roughly 13 pounds! The days of formula and kitten chow are over.

This is what he was up to today:

Quite a bit different from this little guy:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY XANDER!!!

Baby Trouble

Remember this?

This is a picture I posted in September 2011. It's Mom & Dad's two cats as they were then...the little one was only about 3 months old so she's obviously bigger now. The bigger one is Trouble...their big guy. But he wasn't always big...in the course of going through old pix for the baby horse nostalgia series I came across some baby pix of Trouble. See, his mom belonged to our next-door neighbor. After she had her kittens, she decided to move them under our deck...as they got bigger they took over the deck:
Pile o' kittens...that's Trouble sprawled on his side :D
Here's Mom exhausted & trying to catch a nap
Little Trouble the adventurer...we called him "Fatty"

Hope you enjoy this moment of nostalgia, Mom!
